Running thoughts
It's been a very hot week. My forearms are sticking to my desk, my hands are sticking to my MacBook, and somehow that got me thinking about doing more sports.
Normally, I'd go play a round of tennis, squash, or even try padel, but there are two problems: most of the friends I'd like to play with don't live very close, so it's difficult to build a weekly habit. The other problem is that I don't have any shoes for it, and finding good-looking ones isn't easy for me. So first I need to buy some proper shoes, and then I can start inviting people to play. Who's in?
Another thought that came to mind: I could just go running. I can go alone whenever it fits my schedule. Before work, during my lunch break, or late at night? Everything is doable. And if anyone wants to join, that's still possible, but it's not a must. Perfect!
Now I only need a proper pair of running shoes. I'm already looking and think I might have found a pair I'm going to try. I still don't know if running is my thing. If someone had asked me before, I would never have guessed it. But you'll never find out if you don't try.
So let's try!
